Hospice Service

Westchester Gardens offers Hospice services in conjunction with The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. When the need arises, Suncoast and Westchester Gardens coordinate an aggressive treatment plan for physical and emotional pain and symptoms for the terminally ill. It is an active treatment plan, but is not intended to cure a resident’s underlying disease.

Services

Services are covered by Medicare Part A and include:

• Skilled palliative nursing and health aide care
• Counseling and support groups
• Training and education for caregivers
• Bereavement support for family members of all ages
• Spiritual support
• Medical equipment and supplies
• Pharmaceutical services

When space is available, a private room is provided to the resident and family for comfort and privacy in time of need at no additional charge.
